El Municipal market Xàbia became, on Wednesday morning, the epicenter of proposals and debate on local commerce and municipal markets by the Compromís group. The candidate for mayor of Xàbia, Vicent Colomer, accompanied the head of list to the General Elections for Valencia, Joan Baldoví, and the number 1 to Las Cortes Valencianas for Alicante, Aitana Mas, in his visit to Xàbia and specifically to the Municipal Market within his campaign Unstoppable
In a close way and talking with the sellers, the leaders of Compromís knew the concerns of local businesses and their neighbors. Baldovi and Mas expressed their support for small businesses, local commerce, "To which we must take care and protect and for which we believe it is necessary to have a regulation of business hours. To be able to reconcile family life, we must fight so that the large commercial areas do not determine the schedules."
Also, the candidate to the Cortes manifested the proposal of Compromís to promote the development of a census of Municipal Markets in the Community, thus creating a quality mark for these facilities.
Online commerce and housing
If the large areas are harmful to local businesses, another of the businesses that invades is the online, "We want this issue to be regularized as well. E-commerce plays with the advantage of salaries and false self-employed people, it offers prices in which small businesses cannot compete"remarked Baldovi.
From Compromís, with the debate open to the public has responded to the concerns of the attendees, who asked about the issue of housing for rent. Mas explained that work is being done to reward those owners who rent their home within a set price parameter.
