Last week the rehabilitation works began on Llebeig Street in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. This is an action financed entirely by the Alicante Provincial Council that will improve the image of this street and make it more accessible.
With an investment of 89.780,77 euros, it is intended to pedestrianize this important road in the urban center and give it a welcoming and practical character. For this, the project includes, among other actions, the resurfacing of the ground, the beautification of the facades and the incorporation of landscaped areas. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Llebeig street is a fairly busy road that connects the central La Pau street with the plaza de les
Pesqueres and with municipal spaces such as the School of Music or the Social Center. “It is an important connector between the old town and one of the most important squares in the municipality. It has never been urbanized and currently presents a primary aesthetic, so this action, necessary for a long time, will give it the consideration it deserves ", has pointed out the councilor for Urban Planning, Jorge Pascual.
