One more year, the 30 in January, the date on which Peace Day is commemorated, the schools of Xàbia ran to provide solidarity. The public centers of Trenc d'Alba and Vicente Tena they ran a race for the NGO Save the Children. In total, 1.531,70 euros was the collection obtained by both schools, € 1.117,50 from CEIP Vicente Tena and € 414 from Trenc d'Alba.
Since the Vicente Tena have been running 15 for years for the rights of children with the premise that without education they will never be who they want to be. And, during this course, the great challenge is to get one million children to help another million to whom the war has left them without a school. "Seven years without school and, without schools, the chances of becoming what they want disappears", communicate from the school center.
From the Vicente Tena, they appreciate the collaboration of the entire educational community, "Every kilometer counts, every euro adds up, by participating in the race, we help children who are victims of war have access to health, adequate food and education."
In the Trenc d'Alba, after reading the manifesto for Peace and based on the project of the sea on which they are working this school year, students deposited their desire for peace in a mural.
To end the day they made the traditional charity race for children around the educational center.
