The CEIP L'Arenal is in the area of ​​the Arenal Beach, in Xàbia. This is a particularly touristic area, so the center's students come largely from families of foreign origin: specifically, the percentage of students of foreign origin is 60%. There are currently 448 students enrolled.

Center

The school was created in 2003, and barracks were used for two years until the inauguration of the current building on September 1, 2005. The center has 19 units distributed in: 6 infant education units, 12 primary units and a Special Education (CYL classroom, Communication and Language). During the 2015-2016 academic year, the sensory classroom was launched. This school has a total of 32 teachers and two educators.

Schedule

Since 2016, the CEIP L'Arenal has had a continuous day schedule after voting by the educational community. His school hours are as follows:

• September and June: teaching hours from 9:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. and dining room service from 13:00 p.m. to 15:00 p.m.
• From October to May: teaching hours from 9:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. Dining room from 14:00 p.m. to 15:30 p.m. and voluntary extracurricular activities: from 15:30 p.m. to 17:00 p.m.

Features

One of the most characteristic features of the center is the CYL classroom, created in 2009. Always with the collaboration and involvement of the entire faculty, working and learning with the TEA students. Another of the hallmarks is the large number of cultures that come together in the school, providing an enriching multiculturalism.
