Clara and Borja (Tula): «We still don't believe we have achieved the Michelin Star»

Borja Susilla and Clara Puig, managers of the Tula Restaurant, are still in a dream today. A dream that has come true and that has not yet been believed. His project, Tula, which started now three and a half years ago, has received the highest gastronomic recognition, the Michelin Star. An award that represents the effort, enthusiasm and dedication of this young couple.

"We have opened today the doors, after the days of rest for the gala, and we are still in shock, we do not get to believe that we have a Michelin Star. We are very happy to start being part of the guide that is a great reference in gastronomy"explained Clara Puig to Jávea.com

And for Tula, this appointment has been a surprise, "We never expected it, since May of 2016 we have worked every day in this place, of seven tables and about 70 square meters, trying to offer the best to our customers and of course, this award makes us continue working with the same illusion ", highlighted Puig.

"Tula will continue along the same lines because the recognition we have been given for this concept of traditional cuisine", says Clara and adds that now, the only future forecast "It is to continue improving to defend and maintain this Star to which we dedicate to the entire Tula team, customers, suppliers, etc., because without them we would not have this recognition."

The young couple, as mentioned, are experiencing very emotional moments "The shows of love and congratulations from customers and friends have not stopped arriving." In fact, in just two days after knowing that they have won the award, the volume of reservations has tripled.

Go for the second Michelin Star?

It is known that the option of obtaining a second Michelin Star in a short time is difficult, but not impossible, "We did not expect one, so the second we see it far, but of course we will continue working for the obtained and because Jávea is growing not only as a tourist reference but also as a gastronomic with our colleagues", said the manager of Tula, mentioning the rest of the restaurants in the town that also stand out for their careful cuisine.

Undoubtedly, Tula will continue to be the local gastronomic proposal with contemporary air that has fallen in love with many and above all, the gastronomic experts.
