The school year has started today in Xàbia and the different schools in the town have welcomed the boys and girls to open this new season 2022/2023. According to provisional data from the Department of Education, a total of 1.878 male and female students have returned to the classroom or started their schooling.
By centres, the CEIP Arenal is the one with the most students with 452 students, followed by the CEIP Mediterranean with 372 students, Graüll with 355, the María Inmaculada private school with 219 students, while 217 attend Trenc d'Alba and 212 at CEIP Port.
These are provisional figures since during the summer 65 new schoolchildren have been registered in Xàbia and, to this day, students continue to enroll, which will be distributed by the centers taking into account the ratios of the classrooms.
To prepare for the return to school, during the summer, the City Council has carried out some maintenance and fine-tuning work in the centers. One of the most far-reaching has been in the Trenc d'Alba, where the entire floor of the nursery classrooms has been replaced and an integral painting has been carried out in the nursery and primary classrooms.
