May 05 from 2021 - 11: 41

The yachtsman from Club Náutico Jávea, Carlos Marí, managed to win the Autonomous Championship in the Bic Techno sub 17 category in Santa Pola.

The appointment at the Santa Pola Nautical Club brought together the best of the board categories to compete in the IQFoil Autonomous Windsurfing Championship of the Federació de Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana. The xabiera expedition made up of Carlos Marí, Jacobo Ramón, Julia Martínez, Pablo Momparler, Alejandro Serrat, José Luis Boronat Roda, Alex Ortega, Octavio Ramón and José Luis Boronat Suay, along with coach Gonzalo Boronat, attended there.

The results could not have been better, since Carlos Marí was the best in Bic Techno sub17, which led him to be proclaimed regional champion, something that Pablo Momparler, the youngest sailor of all those who participated, also achieved in sub13, while Jacobo Ramón was runner-up in U17 and José Luis Boronat Suay was also runner-up in Open Foil.

Marí was the best in two of the five races and Boronat was also the best in two of the races.

Optimist Spain Cup

On the other hand, this weekend in Hondarribia two Optimist class sailors participated in the Spanish Cup, Lucy Crosbie and Begoña Pérez Manglano.

Crosbie managed to qualify with the gold group (the best of the entire test) and Pérez, despite his youth, managed to get among the 20 best of the silver group. The two return to Xàbia with the objective accomplished and with the desire to
return to retake the season completely.
