The Department of Universal Health and Public Health of the Valencian Community has decided to adopt a series of additional and exceptional measures for certain sectors in response to the prevention of the SARS COV-2 pandemic. These restrictions affect mobility, limiting travel, among many other activities, which especially affects the holding of sporting events. In our case, it limits and impairs the holding of the VII edition of the Valencian Community Olympic Week.
For this reason, the organization has decided to appeal to responsibility and civility and make the tough decision to cancel the next edition of the Olympic week. Given the health situation of risk of transmission of SARS COV-2 and the impossibility of guaranteeing participants and trainers on the dates scheduled for the event.
La Olympic Week that had been planned for the week of February 11 to 21, taking place in the Club Nautico de Javea, from February 11 to 14. Based on the above, in the next few days, the organization will proceed to return the amounts paid for the subscription by the athletes who trusted the organizing clubs Real Club Náutico Valencia, Club Náutico Jávea, Real Club regattas Alicante, Real Club Náutico Torrevieja and the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community.
At this point, we can only thank the sailors and coaches who have placed their trust one more year in the organizing clubs and in the Federation as an organizer of sporting events, trusting in being able to see you to enjoy the sport that we are passionate about, the candle, in which it is already your second home, the Valencian Community.
