Thanks to a grant from Servef Emerges, Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has hired seven residents to carry out actions in the field of forest prevention, for which they will carry out work to clean green areas and prevent forest fires.
The subsidy, requested by the consistory, will last six months in the seven cases. The amount of this subsidy is 67.173 euros. An aid that belongs to the program of social initiative grants, aimed at the hiring of unemployed people by local corporations of the Valencian Community, to carry out actions planned in emergency plans or procedures in the forestry field.
Those hired will also carry out actions to improve the forest mass in the burned area of Custodians during the September fire of the 2016. It is worth remembering that the municipality has received a grant from 40.000 euros from the Diputación de Alicante to reduce the risk of fire in the ravines of the Inferno y Vicari with excessive density of pines and abundant high fuel underbrush.
Benitatxell, third population with less unemployment
The Poble Nou de Benitatxell records one of the best ratios of job creation in the region. Lead next to Pedreguer (-14,3%) and Pego (-12%) the podium of the best figures of the decline in unemployment in the Marina Alta. It is the
third population of the region that generated the most employment in the 2017. If in the 2016 registered 165 stopped, in the 2017 this figure went down to 142. The unemployment descended in the municipality an 13%.
