The Poble Nou of Benitatxell has carried out a new action to improve the accessibility of the Mercat Municipal. Specifically, a new access ramp has been incorporated. Action that has been carried out through a grant of 5.395 euros granted by the Diputación de Alicante framed in the Plan of Modernization of Municipal Markets.
The old one, with a steep slope, did not comply with the regulations. In addition, it has moved from the center of the stairway to the far left, which improves the distribution of space.
This is the second action that is carried out in a short time to eliminate architectural barriers in the Mercat. Last year the doors were already renewed, turning them into automatic. In addition to improving aesthetics, this new assembly provided luminosity and allowed greater energy efficiency.
