Benitatxell invites you to fill the balconies with colors in the 'I LGBTIQ + Pride' of its history

The Poble Nou de Benitatxell celebrates for the first time in its history the LGTBIQ Pride Day +. Under the motto 'The Poble Nou de Benitatxell, the teu orgull', the Department of Equality and Diversity has organized a small campaign to encourage neighbors to celebrate this day.

“We want to vindicate and celebrate the beauty of sexual, gender, and human diversity in general. Because a people who recognize themselves as diverse are a healthier, more humane, fairer, kinder, happier and happier people ”, has indicated the councilor of the area, Víctor Bisquert.

With these premises, the campaign consists of two actions. The first of them, 'Express your pride', began on June 10 and proposes to citizens to show their pride by telling their experience or that of someone close to them, or their perception of the group in the municipality through videos, photos, drawings, poems, songs, stories, etc, "The aim is that people feel comfortable and free to express what they want to tell", adds the mayor.

To celebrate June 28, International LGBTIQ + Pride Day, the 'Balconies for Diversity' will fill the streets with 'color and love'. This part of the initiative invites colorful garments to be hung on the balconies and windows as a representation of diversity. From the Department of Equality encourage to hang them during the afternoon of the 27th and leave them throughout the 28th.
