Benitatxell calls the 'III Photography Contest' on the occasion of International Women's Day

The Department of Women and Equality of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, by Myra Vvan't Hoff, has just made public the foundations of the III Fotodona Photography Contest. The objective is to present a personal vision of March's 8, International Women's Day, through images that empower women.

Any person, amateur or professional of photography, of Spanish or foreign nationality, can participate in this contest, starting at 18 years of age. The photo submission deadline ends 16 February of 2018 at 14 hours.

Requirements

The requirements of the photographs is that different parts of a female body of any woman should appear regardless of nationality or culture. Each participant may submit a maximum of three photographs in color or black and white, the work of the author and must have an unpublished character. The authors of the selected photographs must provide a signed statement of authorship. Likewise, if identifiable persons appear in the photographs, their written consent must be provided. Any person, amateur or professional of photography, of any nationality, can participate from 18 years of age.

Photographs will be presented in JPG format with a maximum size of 5MB and a resolution of 300 dpi, for publication in print. The contestants will present the photographs in digital support and together with the completed form in an envelope to the Town hall of Benitachell.

The selection and awarding of the contest prizes will be made at the proposal of a jury appointed by the Department of Women and Equality. For the time being, it is already confirmed that Margaret Hales, a British resident of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, will be part of the jury, named president of the European Union of Women. The jury will also be formed by members of the field of photography, design and culture.

Awards

The winning photograph will receive a prize of 200 euros. There will also be a second prize of 100 euros. The winning photographs will be published on the website of the City of Benitachell and social networks, with the names of the authors.
