That no family with financial difficulties is left without the school canteen scholarship in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. That is the purpose of the complementary 'voucher-scholarship' promoted by the departments of Education and Servicios Sociales. This initiative, for which a first amount of 2.445 euros has been allocated, aims to cover the needs of those students who have not obtained the voucher from the Generalitat Valenciana.
The 'scholarship voucher', dedicated to all CEIP Santa María Magdalena schoolchildren who have a partial dining scholarship, will benefit a total of 31 boys and girls from 21 families. With it they can buy food in a supermarket. The amount of aid that each student will receive will be based on the scholarship amount they have from the school canteen.
At the moment, it is a question of covering the school days during the alarm period (from March 14 to May 10), although depending on how events evolve, it will be considered to grant a second aid.
As the Councilor for Education and Children, Jorge Pascual, has pointed out, this 'scholarship-voucher' will serve to help families who, because they have a partial scholarship, have been left out of the Generalitat's aid during the health crisis . "We are experiencing a difficult situation and from the government team we are doing everything possible to lighten the burden of the families with more difficulties," he said.
