Throughout the month of April, the colors and festive atmosphere of the Mitjafava Fest have been present in the streets of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell through the first #socmitjafava Showcase Contest. The participation has been a success. A total of 27 establishments have wanted to be part of this initiative. And as for the level of the decorations, it has been very high.
After visiting all the participating businesses, the jury, made up of the architect Emili Portes, the landscaper Olga Lanzas, the lawyer María Ivars and the journalist Carla Pons, has decided to award the first prize to K-Xuli, the second to Aloe Fashion and the third to Bar Arco Iris. The manual work carried out, the originality and the final composition, among other aspects, have been valued.
The first three prizes have an economic endowment of 1.000, 500 and 250 euros respectively, while the rest of the creations, just for the fact of participating and complying with all the requirements indicated in the rules, will receive a compensation of 200 euros. The next Local Government Board will proceed to approve the payments of the establishments that have met all the requirements.
The objective of this initiative was mainly to give a boost to the small business of the town that has been so affected by the economic effects of the pandemic. The Department of Commerce and Parties, led by Mayte Roldán, reserved a game of 30.000 euros for the contest, with which the streets of the municipality have also been set.
