On the day of Saint Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, the ceremony for the Euterpe - Ángel Asunción awards, awarded by the Federation of Musical Societies, was held at the Palau de la Generalitat Valenciana. On this occasion, and for the second consecutive year, the CAMX (Centre Artístic Musical de Xàbia) once again had the privilege of receiving another Euterpe award, this time for its musical dedication.
The award went to Bartolomé Catalá Salines, a resident and musician from Xàbia who has dedicated 65 years of his life to music, always active, even before the Musical Artistic Center was established, 59 years ago.
Bartolomé was excited to receive the award, and it moved everyone in attendance. From CAMX they point out that it is a great honor that he has received this well-deserved award for a lifetime dedicated to the world of music, and "he is an example of dedication for musicians of all ages."
