Baleària programs the 'Bahama Mama' to cover the services of the stranded ship

August 18 from 2019 - 09: 56

Baleària has decided to schedule the Bahama Mama ferry on the Dénia-Ibiza-Palma route to cover the services of the fast ferry Pinar del Río from Sunday to 17: 45 from Palma. Passengers and vehicles that had reserved for all departures since yesterday and today in the morning on the Pinar del Río fast ferry have been relocated on four other ships of the company: The fast ferries Ramón Llull and Cecilia Payne, which operate from the port from Dénia, and the Marie Curie and Hedy Lamarr ferries, which operate from Valencia.

The company will offer a round trip ticket under the same conditions as the original ticket to passengers traveling aboard the Pinar del Río on the day of the accident. Through a letter, they will be informed of the steps they must take, in addition to being available and reiterate the apologies for the inconvenience.

It should be remembered that the fast ferry Pinar del Río ran aground on Friday night, at 23: 20 hours, at the jetty of the port of Dénia without personal damage for any passenger or crew, who were evacuated unharmed with different boats.

The shipping company is still working on the assessment of the damage recorded in the starboard hull and developing the ship's refloating plan to be able to transfer it to the port and disembark the vehicles that remain inside. The situation of the ship stranded at the entrance of the port does not prevent maritime traffic in Dénia.
