As announced by the President, Ximo Puig, the Consell, meeting in plenary session, approved yesterday Friday a decree Law of extraordinary measures directed to natural or legal persons who exploit public nightlife establishments in the Valencian Community.
In addition, the Plenary has also approved decree approving the regulatory bases and direct granting of aid to public nightlife establishments in the Valencian Community, endowed with 8 million euros.
This line of direct aid is aimed at compensating from the Generalitat, and as far as possible, the negative effects on the economy and employment linked to nightlife activity is having the forced cessation of activity of public establishments of night entertainment.
The direct aid articulated through this decree will have as beneficiaries the people and entities that hold the economic exploitation of the public nightlife establishments that are listed below: pub, singer café, concert café, theater café, discotheques, music halls. dance and party rooms.
The receipt of this aid will be compatible with other subsidies, aid, income or resources from any administration or national public or private entities, the European Union or international organizations, and granted for the same purpose provided for in this decree.
Beneficiaries of the aid
Individuals or legal entities that meet the following conditions may be beneficiaries:
1. Be natural or legal persons who operate public nightlife establishments. An operator shall be understood to be one who is engaged in the economic exploitation of nightlife activity in the public establishment subject to the subsidy, and may be the owner of the opening and activity license or, if this is not the case, owner, lessee. or hold legal ownership of the same by any valid title in Law.
2. Being an exploiter of any of the following types of public nightlife establishments,
· Premises typology A): pub, café singer, café concert, or café theater
Premises typology B): discos, dance halls, or party rooms
3. Prove that the status of operator of the activity object of the subsidy was held on August 17, 2020 and that it is maintained on the date of presentation of the aid application.
Amount and distribution of aid
The maximum global amount of the aid that will be granted by means of the decree will be 8.000.000 euros.
a) The amount of aid directed to type A (pub, café singer, café concert, or café theater) will be 7000 euros.
A maximum global amount of 3.725.000 euros will be allocated for these grants.
b) For beneficiaries corresponding to type B (discotheques, dance halls, or party rooms): 28.500 euros.
A maximum global amount of 4.275.000 euros will be allocated for these grants.
c) In the event that the budget credit destined to attend the requests presented by one or some of the beneficiaries corresponding to typologies A) or B) is not exhausted, the surplus may be used to increase the maximum global amount assigned to that typology for the which the initial estimate is insufficient to meet the requests that have a favorable report but are conditioned to have a greater budget allocation.
