Buses in Jávea: destinations, stops and schedules

To get to Jávea / Xàbia by public transport it is recommended to use the bus, since the city is connected by this route with the main cities of the Valencian Community (Valencia and Alicante), and with Madrid. In addition, from here, you can leave for numerous national and international destinations.

The urban bus that runs through the municipality and the one that connects with other municipalities in the region also leaves from the station. There is no railway infrastructure, so the only alternative to the bus would be the private car.

The Jávea bus station is located between Eugeni d'Ors street and Palmela Avenue, and although it does not have a ticket office, the ticket can be purchased at the same time of getting on the bus.

Jávea-Alicante, Alicante-Jávea and routes to El Altet airport

The transport company ALSA it manages the routes Jávea-Alicante and vice versa, in addition to the connections with the Alicante-Elche airport, El Altet. The price of this route ranges between 10 and 18 euros per trip depending on the schedules, whether the route is direct or combined or the final destination stop.

We explain briefly:

  • The route from Jávea to Alicante crosses the towns of the Marina Alta to the south (Benitachell, Teulada-Moraira, Benissa and Calpe), reaches the Marina Baixa (Altea and three stops in Benidorm), and from Benidorm travels directly to Alicante without Make more stops. On the way back, the stops are the same.
  • The route from Javea to El Altet airport also passes through Benitachell, Teulada-Moraira, Benissa and Calpe, but does not pass through Altea and only makes two stops in Benidorm. From there travel directly to the airport. The lap keeps the same stops.

And from Gandía directly to Valencia, at some times through the AVE station and in others directly arriving at the central bus station in Valencia. It is very important that you be aware that the connection to the airport is made only once a day, and that on Sundays it does not work.
  • The journey back to Jávea has the same conditions as the one way, passes through the same municipalities and also has very little frequency of departure from the airport.

Jávea-Madrid and Madrid-Jávea

To go from Javea to Madrid and back, there are two possibilities: make the journey so only by bus, or do it with bus to Valencia and connecting with AVE.

Direct bus

The Jávea-Valencia trip only by bus has a variable duration of between 6 hours 35 minutes and 10 hours 15 minutes. It costs from 41'56 euros one way, and transfers in Benidorm. It leaves from Jávea station (Avenida de Palmela) and arrives at Madrid South Station. All this is the same on the way back.
