Next weekend, the Xàbia ARS NOVA will perform in two especially relevant concerts. One is part of the XVI Campanya de Concerts d'Intercanvis Musicals and will take place on Saturday, September 21 at 21: 00h at the Church of the Virgen del Loreto de Xàbia. This will be the first concert after the success that ARS NOVA achieved in Cologne in July. In addition, invited by the group, the Cantollano de València Chamber Choir will also perform, under the direction of Asunción Blom-Dahl.
On the other hand, it will be Sunday 22 in September when the ARS NOVA will move to Biar, where it will offer a concert that will close the XIX edition of the Cultural Week of the town.
On both occasions, and under the direction of Teresa Albero, the ARS NOVA will present us with a very special program since it is a tour of the works that have left a mark on the group. Therefore, it is an eclectic program in which it will be interpreted from the sixteenth-century polyphony to more current works, going through music holes such as the Lacrimosa of the Requiem of WA Mozart. These two quotes will show the essence of some of the most important performances that ARS NOVA has had in recent years, such as Ars Nova XXV by Pere Vicalet, the works of Ola Gjeilo and the choir performance in Siegburg (Germany) last July.
