The Ars Nova de Xàbia Group moved this past Friday to Onda (Castellón) to participate in the Troubades 2022. Organized by the Choir of the Santa Cecilia de Onda Musical Union, the Trobades had the participation of the Santa María del Mar de València Chamber Choir, as well as Ars Nova.
The program offered by the xabiera group faced important challenges: an a cappella program, and in particular Antonio Remacha's Siete Canciones Vascas. The latter, the complexity was not only the language, but also the complex harmonies with which the composer works throughout the work.
The performance did not go unnoticed by the public, who thanked the performance of Ars Nova with a long applause. This collaboration left the doors open for the Ondense choir to visit Xàbia in the future to participate jointly in different projects.
