Les Fogueres de Sant Joan de Xàbia 2023 have already chosen their top representatives. The first official act of the San Juan festivities of 2023, that of the election of queens, ladies and presidents, took place last night at the Palau d'Esports Miguel Buigues Andrés.
Both the Quintà of 2023 and the Youth and Children's Commission chose their protagonists. The position of Queen Major of the Foguera fell to Arantxa Pons, who was elected by majority through voting before a notary by the fifths. The Queen Mayor will be accompanied by her bridesmaids, Elia Marí and Lucía Llidó.
The Children's Regina has been Júlia Leyda. Her election was by lottery and luck made her the highest child representative. The children's Queen will be accompanied by April Escudero and Marta Martínez.
As for the presidents, of the Quintà 2023, the chosen ones were Alejando Salvá and Adriana Fernández. Those of the Youth Commission are Shaila Esquinas and Sergi Pons, who will represent a large group of young partygoers, since this year the Youth Commission has more than 50 components.
Like every year, this event has a charitable aspect and on this occasion, part of the proceeds from ticket sales was allocated to the Spanish Association against Cancer. The Councilor for Festivals, Kika Mata, delivered, during the act, the check to the representatives of the Association.
Likewise, the act of the election also featured a fashion show by the designer from Xàbia, Rubén Bisquert. The public was able to enjoy different party designs for women as well as regional costumes for men.
The newly elected positions highlighted the enthusiasm for representing the upcoming holidays and the desire to live their year to the fullest. In addition, they thanked their fifth for the trust placed in them to represent Xàbia at parties.
El Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi and the councilor for festivities, Kika Mata, wished in their parliaments the hundred fifths and child and youth members to enjoy the festivities to the fullest.
