The probability of heavy rain during the next 24 hours has activated the orange warning for the entire province of Alicante, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency. At first, the warning was yellow, but in the last hours of this Monday, and given the sudden change in the forecast, it is expected that Xàbia and the Marina Alta region will register up to 40 during the day today Tuesday litres/m2 in just one hour and 100 litres/m2 in 12 hours.
In addition, the AEMET warns of the possibility of large hail and very intense storms accompanied by abundant electrical equipment.
The information from the AEMET indicates that there will be a change and the strength of the rain will decrease, passing the alert to a yellow level, starting at midnight this Wednesday and until 09:00 a.m., with rainfall of 80 l/m2 being able to accumulate in 12 hours. Likewise, the orange level alert will be active from 08:00 a.m. today, Tuesday, until midnight of the same day.
