Activities and recognitions for young athletes on the 'Sports Day' in Xàbia

Many young athletes from Xàbia enjoyed the multitude of activities that were prepared in the sports facilities of the Freginal for the celebration of the Sport's Day in Xàbia. In this way, and throughout the morning, curious activities such as zipline descent, roller hockey games, rhythmic gymnastics exhibitions, chess games and others were carried out. It was a day of coexistence among athletes from different municipal sports schools and clubs.

In the afternoon the delivery was made, by the councilor of sports, Vicent Colomer, of the recognitions to the most outstanding athletes of the year.

This event counted with the collaboration of Ana Bisquert and Pepe Ribes, who performed the functions of drivers. Subsequently, and before handing out the awards, the mayor, Vicent Colomer, addressed the audience with words of thanks for the effort and encouragement to continue practicing sport.

Closing ceremony of the Municipal Schools

Next, the closing of the eight schools in which more 300 young people between 3 and 15 years of age participate. Each of the schools was parading before the tribune of the football field: Psychomotor, swimming, paddle, futsal, rugby, table tennis, mountain biking and bádmiton. All students received a commemorative medal.

Award winning Municipal School athletes

Precisely from this school were distinguished, Laura Bover and Claudia Ponce. Both provincial and second regional champions 15 Sub in doubles. Ponce was also third in the individual championship.

Sofia Lehoyska and Cristina Heppner, second classified in the provincial and third in the regional Sub 15. Sofia was also third in the individual province while Cristina Heppner was second in the autonomous Sub 15 individual.

Lucía Ginés and Clara Bas, third in the province of doubles and third in the regional doubles Sub 15.

María Pérez, third autonomic in doubles Sub 15, forming a partner with a companion of Onil and third autonomous in individual.

Recognition of clubs and athletes for their sporting merits

Patinas Xàbia Hockey Club: for the dissemination work of this sport in Xàbia.

Llebeig Athletics Club: Marco Garcia, Alicia Crespo, Melany Giraldo, Mintamer Carrascosa, Carmé Espinós, Marina Espinós, Manuela Jiménez, Elena Martínez, Mireia Ivorra, all of them for the great season they have done. Together with them they formed the technicians, Andrés Bertomeu and Arnau Saladar.

Club Handbol Xàbia: The team members and players of the Mixto Playa team, female and male children and the male and female cadets, accompanied by the coaches, went out to collect the prize. Pep Hierro, Víctor Malvar and Diego Silveira.

Club Deportivo Jávea: Team players Benjamín "A", Alevín "C", Alevín "A" and the soccer player, Gem Soliveres, who was accompanied by the club's president, David Tiscar.

Club Náutico Jávea: Represented by athletes, Kike Luján, Pablo Luján, 420 Class world champions. Silvia Sebastiá who together Julia Miñana, are champions of Spain of Class 420. Arantxa Reig, regional champion optimist "B", Alex Ortega, regional champion Bic Techno Sub 15. Andriu Silva, regional sub-champion Bic Techno Sub 17. José Luis Boronat, regional champion RSX Class and Rafa Andarias, Spanish Champion Class 2,4rM. These athletes were accompanied by the club's Sports Director, Javier Monparler.

Club Ciclista Jávea: Cyclists Joan Buigues and Carmen Sánchez received their award for the outstanding season. They were accompanied by Antonio Simó, director of the club.

Club Mussols Xàbia Bike: Cyclists were awarded, Alex Miralles, Mar Miralles, Noa Alderete, Marcos Puig, Rocco Campisi, who were accompanied by the members of the club; Mariano Pinto and José Antonio García.

Juan Ayuso, was another of the cyclists awarded for the great season he has done.

Xàbia Rhythmic Gymnastics Club: With its president, Vicen Bolufer, who was accompanied by a wide representation of club gymnasts.

Club Deportivo Montgó-Xàbia: The president, Elena Buigues led a large representation of gymnasts of this club both in the section of artistic gymnastics and rhythmic.

This was the last club that went through the stage, later it was considered finished this event that brought together the sports world of Xàbia.
