346 self-employed from Xàbia have already received COVID help from the City Council

El Javea Town Hall It has already made the payment of 523.500 euros in aid to the self-employed in the municipality who had to close down during the first months of the health crisis. The Consistory has supported at the local level with 1.500 euros a total of 346 workers in sectors that directly suffered the restrictions of the state of alarm.

New support line

Likewise, at present, it finalizes the procedures for the second line of aid to sectors that, although they were not obliged to stop the activity, did suffer a loss of income of at least 50%.

At the end of this week, these subsidies, framed within the Comprehensive Plan for the economic and social reactivation of the municipality, can already be requested through the municipal electronic headquarters Recover Xàbia and which are financed with 94.000 euros by the Alicante Provincial Council.

As the councilor for the Treasury recalls, Ximo Segarra, this line -also 1.500 euros- is aimed at supporting SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals who, having maintained the activity after the measures adopted by Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, have reduced at least 50% the average billing for the months of April and May 2020, with respect to the calendar semester prior to the declaration of the State of Alarm.

Expenses related to the maintenance of the business activity such as the rental of the premises, publicity expenses of actions or events that have been negatively affected by the state of alarm, consulting and advisory expenses incurred as a result of the state of alarm or expenses of contracts for the supply of energy, water, telephone or internet necessarily referred to the business premises.
