The bays of Dénia and Xàbia are going to have international projection next Saturday and Sunday, 5 and 6 in October, with the dispute of a sailing cruise test. The Yacht Tribe team of the Marina El Portet Sports Club has organized the Heliocare Dénia Trophy, a nautical sporting event in which 20 will participate in boats led by skippers from all over the world, that is, more than 150 people.
As Chiqui González and Yann Lythgoe, organizers of the appointment, have commented, "This is the sixth edition of a comxicotetion that will start at 9 in the morning with the meeting of the bosses and will conclude on Sunday at 17 hours with the delivery of trophies."
A regatta course has been established that will vary depending on the weather conditions that occur on the weekend. The tour will start from Cap de Sant Antoni to the bay of Xàbia and it is intended to do a maximum of five tests.
The comxicotetion will have a social draft, since each sailboat will make an economic donation that will go to the projects against childhood cancer carried out by the Aladina Foundation.
The Heliocare Dénia Trophy also has the mission of valuing women in the world of sailing, since 40% of the crew will be female, “Which is a great challenge, because this type of sport is eminently masculine”, according to Chiqui González.
It should be remembered that The Yacht Tribe team of the Marina El Portet Sports Club comes from being in the top ten in the Copa del Rey - in the ORC 2 mode -, played a few months ago in Mallorca, since they were eighth.
After the appointment of Dénia, The Yacht Tribe will participate in Altea in the Almandraba that will be played on October 19 in Altea and November 16 will close the season in Calp in another comxicotetion.
